Announcement of Sydney Juris Doctor (JD) Offers and Enrolment Dates

There will be 3 rounds of offers through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) with corresponding enrolment sessions for domestic applicants to the Sydney Juris Doctor (JD). The dates are: Early Offers through UAC: Wednesday, 1 December 2010 Enrolments in-person: Wednesday, 15 December 2010, 10 am to 12 noon, Foyer, Level 2, New Law School Building Main Offers through UAC: Wednesday, 12 January 2011 Enrolments in-person: Monday, 25 January 2011, 10 am to 12 noon (A-K) & 1 pm to 3 pm (L-Z), Foyer, Level 2, New Law School Building Late Offers through UAC: Wednesday, 2 February 2011 Enrolments in-person: Friday, 4 February 2011, 10 am to 12 noon, Foyer, Level 2, New Law School Building Your application to the Sydney JD will not be affected if you receive and accept an offer from another institution. You will still receive an offer from the Sydney Law School if you are eligible for a place. The Sydney Juris Doctor (JD) recently received accreditation by the Legal Profession Admission Board (LPAB) of New South Wales. Graduates of the Sydney JD will be recognised as meeting the academic requirements for admission as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. The Sydney JD may be recognised in other jurisdictions, both interstate and overseas. For further information visit the Professional Recognition section on the Sydney JD website. The Sydney Juris Doctor (JD) ushers in a new era for the Sydney Law School and its teaching of law at graduate level. A comprehensive three-year degree, it will have an unrivalled international focus, where you will receive a comprehensive overview of the practice and profession of the law in Australia and how it relates globally, transnationally and internationally. Applications arestill open for domestic students through the postgraduate portal of the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) and through the University's International Office for itnernational students. Domestic applicants are eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) or a Domestic Full Fee place. Please consult the Fees section on the Sydney JD website for further information. FEE-HELP is available for domestic full fee students. Classes commence on 21 February 2011. |
