We are delighted to announce that a new group has been established for Family Law in semester 1, which will be taught by Prof. the Hon Jennifer Boland. Prof. Boland retired in February 2011 from the Appeal Division of the Family Court of Australia.

Prior to her appointment to the Bench in 1999, Prof. Boland was a partner with Corrs, Chambers Westgarth where she had a significant practice in product liability as well as in family law.

Prof. Boland served as Chair of the Family Law Council, an advisory body to the federal government, from 1995-1998. In 2002, she was awarded the NSW Women Lawyers Association - Inaugural Women Lawyers Achievement Award.
Prof. Boland is much in demand as a speaker at conferences and continuing legal education events.

We are very pleased that she will be able to teach at Sydney Law School.
