Professor Patrick Parkinson AM has been elected as the next President of the International Society of Family Law.

He was elected at the 14th World Conference of the Society in Lyon, France.

He will serve from 2011-14, and will be the first President from outside Europe or the United States.
The Society has members in more than 65 countries, and the Executive Council consists of members from more than 20 countries around the globe.
