20 February 2012
Sydney Law School co-hosted the first ever Asia Pacific Regional Consultation on HIV-related Legal Services and Rights, to exchange best practices and share achievements on legal aid and access to justice for people living with HIV (PLHIV), in Bangkok recently. Held between 9 - 10 February 2012, the event, co-hosted with the Asia Pacific Network of People Living with HIV (APN+), the University of Sydney, RTI International, UNAIDS and UNDP, brought together community advocates, lawyers and government representatives, from eleven countries across Asia and the Pacific. |
"The event is a reflection of the commitment by Sydney Law School to the Memorandum Of Understanding signed last year with the International Development Law Organization (IDLO)," said Daniel Rowland, Sydney Law School's Law and Development Adviser. Representing the Law School was Professor Roger Magnusson. |
