Emeritus Professor Peter Butt has drafted an Act of legislation which could lead to national uniform property law.

Emeritus Professor Butt drew on each jurisdiction's existing system of property law to create the Uniform Torrens Title Act.

According to the Chairman of the Property Law Reform Alliance (PLRA), Dr Stephen Pallavicini, the Act is the result of nearly a decade of commitment from PLRA members.
