Learning Solutionsare pleased to announce the launch of the Faculty of Science Early Careers Researcher Development Program for 2013.
The program has been developed by Learning Solutions in consultation with the research support team and early career researchers within the Faculty to provide you with relevant skills and knowledge to support your career.
Workshops are planned for semester 1, followed by a series of lunchtime seminars in semester 2.
The first workshop, on Career Planning, is held this Wednesday 8 May from 9am-1pm, concluding with lunch. A combination of presentations, panel discussions and practical individual and group activities will help you learn from those who have been there and successfully come through the other side.
A series of reflection activities will allow you to think about what academia means to you and what you can do to plan your next steps whilst maintaining a happy work/life balance. Contributors include Prof Tim Bedding, Prof Madeleine Beekman, Dr Kate Bosward, Prof Geraint Lewis and A/Prof Richard Payne.
The first session is fast approaching, so register now through CareerPath.
