Visiting Miller research professorships

The Miller Institute of the University of California invites nominations for its visiting Miller research professorships. These aim to bring promising or eminent scientists to the Berkeley campus on a short-term basis for collaborative research interactions.

Terms of appointment may range from a minimum of two weeks to a maximum of one semester (120 days). Faculty members or research scientists from any place in the world are eligible to be considered for sponsorship. Non-US citizens must be eligible for J-1 Scholar visa status. Nominations must be made by Berkeley faculty by way of their academic department chair. Appointees are expected to be in residence during their entire tenure.

Amount: A monthly stipend of US$6,000 and a daily living allowance of US$131, plus transportation costs for one round trip to and from Berkeley, typically to a maximum of US$600 within the US and up to US$1,800 for foreign travel.
