Fellowships to the Lindau Nobel Laureate meetings (physiology or medicine focus)

TheAustralian Academy of Science, with financial support from Science and Industry Endowment Fund, invites applications for its fellowships to theLindau Nobel Laureate meetings.

These enable Australian-based early-career researchers to attend the 64th Lindau Nobel Laureate meeting dedicated to physiology or medicine, to be held in Lindau, Germany from 29 June to 4 July 2014.
The application must be submitted by the Research Office as only two applications are allowed per institution. You must submit your application to the Research Office, with written support from your Head of School/Department, by 25 September 2013.

The successful candidates will receive a grant-in-aid of up to $6,178 (GST exclusive) towards the cost of:
  • An international return economy airfare from Australia to the international airport closest to Lindau (up to $3,000)
  • Participation (including accommodation) in the Meeting of Nobel Laureates (up to $3,178)
In addition, successful candidates are invited and expected to attend Science at the Shine Dome, an annual celebration of science held at the Australian Academy of Science in Canberra, 27-29 May 2014. 

Internal closing date: 25 September 2013
The Research Office will only consider applications that come with the written support of the Head of School/Discipline in your area.
