Second chance for NHMRC applicants

6 November 2013

The Australian Respiratory Council is offering a second chance at funding for those unsuccessful in their NHMRC applications for 2014.

The Council is offering one-year research grants of approximately $50,000 each in 2014. The Harry Windsor Grants will be for projects which address research in tuberculosis, respiratory diseases due to other infections, or respiratory diseases related to tobacco use. Within these categories, projects examining TB/HIV, community issues or the health of disadvantaged groups that relate to the work that the Australian Respiratory Council undertakes within Australia and the Pacific are particularly encouraged.

Proposals can encompass clinical research, public health research or basic scientific research.

How to apply

Initial application:
The Chief Investigator of the project is required to send the Application ID number and the Original Titles of their grant application submitted to the NHMRC in 2013 to research@thearc.org.au.

For further information about subsequent application requirements, visit the Australian Respiratory Council website.

Closing date: Monday 18 November 2013.
