Expressions of interest open: Chair of Animal Ethics Committee

Expressions of interest are now being sought for the position of Chair of the Animal Ethics Committee (AEC).
If you are enthusiastic and motivated to improve your understanding of the ethical use of animals in teaching and research, are seeking to play an important service role, and want to be familiar with the latest cutting-edge research, then this position may interest you. The role of the Chair is to guide the work of the Committee and to promote the ethical and humane care and use of animals used for scientific purposes in the University.
The term of appointment is for an initial period of one year, which will be extended to three years upon mutual agreement. A stipend of $25,000 per annum is provided to support the Chair in performing this role. This sum can be taken as salary or paid into a research account for use in accordance with agreed guidelines.
