Grape and wine research and development projects

20 September 2013

The Grape and Wine Research and Development Corporation (GWRDC) invites applications for priority-driven, collaborative RD&E projects to commence in 2014-15 that address the priority area of biosecurity and lead to the development of diagnostic protocols for key exotic pests.
Biosecurity is a vital consideration for Australian agriculture. GWRDC will contribute to ensuring the sector is prepared in the event of an exotic pest incursion, in particular the high-priority ones. Work will focus on reviewing the Industry Biosecurity Plan, developing diagnostic tests and ensuring adequate training for field identification. The program may also focus on relevant research on selected non-ubiquitous endemics on a case-by-case basis.
