End of year deadlines and reminders
26 November 2013
The end of the year is drawing closer, which means it's time to start planning for various deadlines and shut down periods.
As you know, the University will be officially closed from Wednesday 18 December until Wednesday 1 January (inclusive), but that's not the whole story.
Different deadlines exist for different things related to your research.
Are you planning to apply for funding with deadlines in December? Contact Research Grants & Contractsnow to allow time for early submission. You will not be able to submit during the University shutdown period (18 Dec - 2 Jan).
No new research accounts can be setup after Monday 16 December 2013. Contact us as soon as possible if you need a new research account.
Animal ethics - the last deadline for 2013 is Wednesday 27 November (meeting date: 12 December). Outcome letters from this final meeting will not be sent out until the New Year.
Human ethics - there are no more submission opportunities for human ethics in 2013. The first submission deadline for next year is Monday 13 January 2014 (meeting date: 28 January)
Commercial Development & Industry Partnerships
CDIP will not be processing any Records of Inventions or commercial contracts over the Christmas holiday shutdown. We will follow up with your requests on our return on the 2 January 2014.
Use the quiet time around Christmas to make sure your information in IRMA is up to date. Check your personal profile (FoR, affiliations etc) as well as your outputs.
