Upcoming conferences: NanoMedicine and Sustainability

The 2nd International NanoMedicine Conference will be held in Sydney July 14-16 2011.

The deadline for abstracts has been extended to May 31.

This conference brings together both overseas and local world leaders to share thoughts and ideas on the latest research developments in polymer/inorganic nanotechnologies and how these new technologies may be applied in medicine. The symposium is specifically designed to highlight local research in nanotechnology from an engineering and synthetic perspective with the emphasis on the current clinical medical applications of these technologies. Themes include:

  • Nanotoxicology
  • Tissue regeneration and repair
  • Delivery of therapeutics (drugs, siRNA, DNA, peptides)
  • Imaging
  • Sensing and diagnosis


The Eighth international Sustainability conference on environmental, cultural, economic and social sustainability will be held at the University of British Columbia 10-12 January 2012.

This conference aims to develop a holistic view of sustainability, in which environmental, cultural and economic issues are inseparably interlinked. It will work in a multidisciplinary way, across diverse fields and taking varied perspectives in order to address the fundamentals of sustainability. The conference will include numerous paper, workshop and colloquium presentations by practitioners, teachers and researchers.
