Get involved in NHMRC peer review
20 May 2011
The NHMRC has reiterated its need for health and medical researchers to become involved in the grant assessment process.
Researchers identified as possible external reviewers have been contacted during the last few weeks and the NHMRC is keen to have them accept the role.
Peer review is a key responsibility of all researchers and a part of their professional responsibilities, including reviewing publications submitted to journals, theses from higher degree students, and applications for research funding.
Participation in peer review is also a requirement for all researchers in receipt of public funding, in accord with the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research (2007).
