Human ethics review

9 July 2011

Have your say on human ethics approval at the University

In August 2011 an independent panel will conduct a review of human ethics at the University.

The objective of the review is to evaluate our current human research ethics administration practices. It will look at the composition, expertise and ability of our ethics committees, particularly in relation to the variety of applications received by the University and the quality of review. The panel will make recommendations to further enable the University to formulate and deliver an efficient and effective administration capability, guided by relevant legislation and codes of practice.

You are invited to provide submissions to the panel on your experience of the human ethics approval process at the University. Please indicate whether you would like to remain anonymous or whether you would be happy to be contacted by the panel regarding your submission. In addition, please provide the following information: your faculty, field of research and level of research experience.

All submissions should be sent by email to or delivered in hard copy to the reception desk of the Research Portfolio, Level 6, Jane Foss Russell Building, Camperdown Campus, by Monday 11 July.
