Forum: The value of higher education and research to social and economic development

On the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Deputy Secretary-General Mr Aart de Geus will discuss how higher education and research can contribute to the social and economic well-being of the Asia Pacific region.
The morning session will include a keynote speech by H.E. Christopher Langman, DFAT Permanent Representative to the OECD, an expert panel discussion and a Q&A.
The afternoon program includes three workshops:
- Public health
- Food and water security
- Economic and social development
