Research Open Day: what you can expect
4 October 2011
Research Open Day will be held on Wednesday 23 November 2011.
We're going to build on the presentations from last year's Open Day, offering you a deeper insight into how you can build your research career, improve your chances of securing that grant, manage your obligations and take your research to the world. Get a taste with this session spotlight:
Which funding scheme for me?
Do you know there are many funding opportunities available beyond those offered by the ARC and NHMRC?
In this session, Jenny Turner from Research Development and Joanne Elliot from Grants Administration will explain the main ARC and NHMRC schemes, and importantly, how to choose the one appropriate to your research.
Howard Waldron from the Research Analytics & Data Strategy (RADS) team will then introduce you to our new expanded Research Opportunities database and demonstrate how to tap into the abundance of lesser known funding opportunities.
This is an excellent session for any researcher wanting to understand the whole research funding environment.
All Sydney researchers and research support colleagues are welcome to attend Open Day.
