Urgent call for research: Hendra virus

The NHMRC has made an urgent call for research on the Hendra Virus.
Funding has been made available to boost research into issues raised by recent identified cases of the Hendra virus.
This funding will go towards better understanding the virus in terms of its impact on human health, animal health and environmental biodiversity.
Up to $3million has been set aside.
Applications open: 9 November 2011
Applications close: 19 January 2011
