Final call for entries: Eureka Prizes

If you're thinking of entering this year's Eureka Prizes you had better move fast, entries close at midnight on 4 May.

The Eureka Prizesare presented annually by the Australian Museum. The Prizes reward excellence in the fields of scientific research and innovation, science leadership, school science and science journalism and communication.

In 2011, all University of Sydney finalists took out the top prize in their category, from a physicist leading research into faster and more energy efficient communications technologies, to a team of veterinary scientists exposing questionable ethics in the racing industry.

The finalists will be announced online on 27 July 2012 with the winners announced at the annual Award dinner on 28 August 2012.
