Apply now: Australia Japan Emerging Researchers Exchange Program
27 July 2012
The Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE) is now calling for applications for the Australia Japan Emerging Researchers Exchange Program (ERLEP).
The Exchange Program is an international collaborative linkages program, which aims to establish individual and institutional science and technology research linkages between Australia and Japan.
The scheme is targeted at mid-career researchers of both countries, who are emerging leaders in the science and technology community.
To date, 16 Japanese researchers have travelled to Australia to undertake 2 weeks of individual institutional visits, and 8 Australians have travelled to Japan to undertake the same style of exchange program. With these three visits, the 24 researchers have collectively engaged with over 500 researchers in their field of expertise.
The next round of this exchange will allow for eight Australian emerging leaders, in the fields of:
- Health and technology;
- Nanotechnology and New Materials
Travel to Japan is from Monday 4 March to Friday 15 March 2012.
ATSE will accept a maximum of three applications (one application per nominated topic area) per institution.
Internal closing date: 7 August 2012.
