Message from the Acting Vice-Chancellor: new staff intranet

As you may have already seen, we have today launched a new staff intranet to improve your access to the University-wide information you need to complete administrative tasks. You can find a link to the Intranet on the University's home page at sydney.edu.au

You have consistently told us in staff surveys that it is complex and time-consuming to find this sort of information. As a result, the Marketing and Communications Division has worked with the professional service units - Campus Infrastructure and Services, Financial Services, Human Resources, and Information and Communications Technology - to review and reorganise much of the staff-focused content currently located in the University's website.

The Intranet is part of wider efforts, underpinned by our strategic plan, to make our delivery of administrative and professional services more effective, coordinated and efficient. It will also allow us to move staff-focused content out of the University's website, which will then be able to communicate more effectively with our key external stakeholders, including future students, alumni, donors and other partners.
