Wireless upgrade will remove role-based account Wi-Fi access

4 April 2013

The upcoming wireless upgrade will remove old networks and result in no Wi-Fi access for role-based accounts from Monday 8 April.

Staff who are using a role-based account to access Wi-Fi will need to contact the ICT Helpdesk on 9351 6000 to arrange an individual UniKey to log on.

We're upgrading the University's wireless network to increase its capacity and reliability. As part of the upgrade, the wireless network will be taken offline on Sunday 7 April and will not be accessible until Monday 8 April. From Monday, the old usyd and usyd-guest networks will no longer be available.

Instructions on how to reconnect your device are available on the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) website. If you have any questions or experience issues trying to connect please contact the ICT Helpdesk on 9351 6000.

Staff and visitors who require immediate, temporary access can connect to the 'UniSydney-guest' network.
