New probation reminders for academic staff

If you are a new academic staff member, you will receive an automated email as you approach the mid-point and end of your probation period reminding you to arrange a review meeting with your supervisor.

If you are the supervisor of a new academic staff member, you will also receive an automated reminder email when your staff member approaches the mid-point and end of their probation period. Remember to complete the Probation Form and submit it to the HR Service Centre at the end of the probation period.

Probation review meetings are an important step in performance planning and development. However, you don't have to wait until review time to discuss how probation is progressing - talk now to celebrate achievements and successes, or if you need to address a problem.
