Smoothing the path to the Charles Perkins Centre, Chaplaincy Centre to move

29 January 2014

As the University reaches the final stages of getting the Charles Perkins Centre hub ready for teaching and research, work is about to get underway to improve access to the new building.

From Thursday 30 January to Monday 3 March 2014, Grose Farm Lane (Camperdown Campus) will be closed to upgrade the pedestrian walkway and surrounding landscape. Staff needing to access the Charles Perkins Centre during this time can use an alternative pedestrian route along Regimental Drive near the Ross Street gates. See map

"The Charles Perkins Centre hub is a fantastic new facility for the University, and these changes will provide a much-improved access route for staff and students once the building opens its doors for teaching and research in coming months," said Campus Infrastructure and Services Operations Manager Kevin Duffy.

As part of the changes to the area, the Multifaith Chaplaincy Centre will be relocated to room 164 of the Transient Building on Fisher Road. Chaplaincy services are due to be operational for staff and students in the new location from Monday 3 February.
