Repairs to natural gas supply on Camperdown Campus

26 February 2014

Work took place on Wednesday evening to repair a damaged gas main in Grose Farm Lane, between the University Ovals on Camperdown Campus.

The repairs were completed by 9.30pm. The gas supplier was able to carry out the repairs without needing to shut down the supply to several University buildings in the vicinity, as had originally been expected. Campus Infrastucture and Services had contacted key stakeholders before the works began to alert faculties, researchers and other building occupants of the potential for supply disruption.

Contractors will return to campus on Thursday morning to purge air bubbles from gas lines. They anticipate no interruption to supply to other buildings.
