Message from the Acting Vice-Chancellor: enterprise bargaining update
12 December 2012
As you are no doubt aware, enterprise bargaining negotiations have been under way since September 2012. The University is keen to conclude a new agreement, focusing on employment conditions, as soon as possible.
Our proposed terms have been given to the staff bargaining representatives (the National Tertiary Education Union, the Community and Public Sector Union and other staff-nominated representatives) today. These terms include generous and flexible working arrangements and leave entitlements and conditions that equal or exceed those offered by other Group of Eight universities.
We will continue to update the enterprise bargaining website with more information about our proposal and dates in January 2013 for staff information sessions. In the meantime, all staff are welcome to submit comments and questions on the University's proposal using the feedback form.
