Work begins on the new Australian Institute for Nanoscience

29 November 2012

Work has started on site for the new Australian Institute for Nanoscience (AIN).

The AIN will create a world-leading research and teaching facility designed to meet the requirements of nanoscience research in decades to come.

Located behind the Physics Building (A28), work is well underway for the first phase of the project - the 'soft strip out' to remove material from the Physics Annexe (A29).

The actual demolition of the Physics Annexe started this week, and is due to finish in January 2013.

Pedestrian access between St Paul's College and Physics Road has now closed.

See more information on the AIN.
