Changes to student email: staff action required

In 2009 the University released a new student email system, Sydney Mail.

As part of the transition to the new system, a redirect was put in place so students using their old email address ( would still receive their email via their new Sydney Mail account.

With little evidence to support the use of the redirect, the cost of maintaining this redirect (up to $1.6 million in licensing costs) has become unfeasible. As a result, from Monday 10 December ICT will be removing the redirection service. This change will only affect student accounts.
