Sports facility expansion starts in October
6 October 2011
Major work on the University's Sports and Aquatic Centre Expansion Project is due to commence this month.
Stage one of the project includes the addition of a new sports hall with two basketball courts, a group fitness studio, boxing gym, an area for combat sports, and more.
The expansion will provide additional world-class sporting facilities for University staff, students and the local community. Preparations are already underway around the centre and the Services Building (Darlington Campus), with the bulk of the demolition expected to last three to four weeks. While a small number of car parks around the facility have been affected, there is no interruption to the use of Sydney Uni Sport and Fitness facilities.
