Staff email accounts are being upgraded

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has been working to upgrade University staff email accounts to Exchange 2010.

As of last week, ICT had upgraded more than 3300 staff accounts to Exchange 2010, which provides the following improvements.

  • The new Outlook Web Access (OWA) has more functionality, making it easier to use email from any web browser.
  • There is better compatibility with Mac computers, including the ability to use Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac.
  • There is a simpler and more efficient email archiving system.

It is expected that all University staff will be upgraded to Exchange 2010 by the end of the year. You will be directly contacted by ICT closer to your scheduled migration.
