Minor disruptions during O-Week preparations

16 February 2012

Preparations for the University of Sydney Union's (USU) O-Week may cause minor noise and parking disruptions in some areas on Camperdown Campus.

USU is hosting O-Week 2012 on Camperdown Campus from Tuesday 28 February until Friday 2 March. This event runs in parallel with the University's Orientation Week.

Setup of USU stalls for the event will commence on Wednesday 22 February and is scheduled for completion by Monday 27 February. Occupants of the following buildings may notice an increase in activity and noise:

  • Anderson Stuart Building
  • Carslaw Building
  • Chemistry Building
  • Eastern Avenue Auditorium and Lecture Theatre Complex
  • Fisher Library
  • Law School
  • Madsen Building
  • Quadrangle.

The USU entertainment team will ensure that amplification is kept to reasonable levels, and that language and behaviour is compliant with its code of conduct policies.

Please be aware that there will be no vehicle access to Eastern Avenue and University Place between Tuesday 28 February and Friday 2 March. Visitors arriving by car during O-Week are encouraged to use the Ross Street, City Road or Carillon Avenue entrances to access Camperdown Campus.
