Ballarat-based Young Alumni Award winner Dr Katherine van Eckert (BVSc Hons 1 '08) is calling on more veterinarians to take charge of animal welfare issues.
Katherine is co-founder and president of Sentient, the first independent animal welfare lobby group for veterinarians in Australia.
