Forget Bananas we've got Vets in Pyjamas!

What: Free Pet Health Check

Where: University of Sydney Teaching Hospital

When: Thursday 25th March 2010

Time: 7pm -11pm

Sydneysiders can get their pet's health checked for FREE at The University of Sydney's Veterinary Teaching Hospital as part of the celebrations around the opening of its new 24-hour, seven-day-a-week Emergency Veterinary Service - SAVES (Sydney After-hours Veterinary Emergency Service).

The FREE pet health check (bring along any type of small animal) will be carried out by 5th year veterinary students (under supervision) at the University of Sydney Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Parramatta Road, between Ross St Entrance and Missenden Road, Camperdown - from 7pm-11pm on Thursday 25th March 2010.

The check-up will provide the owner with a bill of health for their pet - identifying any issues that may need to be addressed, as well as highlight the veterinary hospital's new emergency service.

The new service, SAVES, will operate outside normal clinic hours at the hospital from 7pm-8am Monday to Friday and 24-hours a day on weekends and public holidays; this means that a qualified vet will be available 24-hours a day.

The new service continues Sydney University Veterinary Teaching Hospital's 100-year tradition of providing the highest quality care for animals using the latest technology with access to Australia's leading specialist veterinarians.
