What does Nursing Student Services offer for students?

The Nursing Student Services team provide a high level of service to students on a range of matters including general enquiries, enrolment, progression, graduation and registration. Nursing Student Services usually provide the first point of contact for nursing enquiries – if you have a questions, please ask us, and if necessary we will direct you to the appropriate person.

The Nursing Student Services team and student advisers are here to provide accurate advice on the student life cycle and undertake student-related administration for the faculty's pre- and post-registration coursework programs.

If you have a general prospective student enquiry our Nursing Student Services team can assist with your enquiry. If you have any course specific questions relating to admission, enrolment, variation of enrolment including suspension and discontinuation, credit applications, progression, registration or graduation please contact the pre-registration student adviser or post-registration student adviser at Nursing Student Services.

Counter hours

The Nursing Student Services counter is open at the following times:

During semester and during AVCC Common Week: Monday to Thursday 11am–3pm, Friday 11am–1pm
Outside semester: Monday to Thursday 11am–2pm, Friday closed

Business Hours: Monday to Friday 9am–5pm

Submission of forms

Please note that these forms can be submitted to Nursing Student Services via email to or to the Nursing Student Services Counter. There is also an after-hours drop box available to the left of our office.

All Clinical Placement forms must be given to Clinical Placement Services.

Where to go for Clinical Placement Services

Clinical Placement Services have a counter located at A3.07, which is located on Level 3, Building A at the Mallett Street Campus (accessed by going up to Level 3 in Building C). Their contact information for Clinical Placement Services can be found online.

Assignment drop boxes

For some of your assessments, you may be asked to submit a hard copy of your work. If your tutor or lecturer permits it, you may submit your assessment in the allocated drop box to the left of the Nursing Student Services office. Please note that these are checked at 9am and 5pm daily, and will be marked as received on the date that we collect them.

Assignment collection

We have the following set times for assignment collections during the week:
Monday–Thursday 1–2pm
Friday 1–2pm
Assignments will not be given out by Nursing Student Services outside of these times.
