Bachelor of Nursing (Advanced Studies) study pattern

The Bachelor of Nursing (Advanced Studies) is a three-year pre-registration program for students without previous tertiary qualifications. It is designed to introduce you to the profession of nursing through an integration of both clinical practice and theory. Clinical practice is an important part of your program. In total you’ll have more than 900 hours clinical practice. This includes clinical placement experiences in a wide variety of health care settings to give you hands-on nursing practice in emergency departments, intensive care units, paediatric units, mental health facilities, community health centres and more. The opportunity to undertake a clinical placement overseas means you can explore other cultures and languages. You can have fun experiencing nursing in other places and then bring back your knowledge to Australia to help shape the future of health care.
