Primary Health Care ** New in 2014 ** – New Law Building Annexe, Seminar Room 107, 22.30pm
Sydney Nursing School is introducing a new primary health care program in 2014 for registered nurses who work in or who aspire to work in primary health care. A suitably educated primary health care focused workforce in in short supply across all health care sectors in Australia and internationally. With the rising incidence and prevalence of chronic diseases and multi-morbidities, confounded by an ageing population, the need for a primary health care workforce equipped with the knowledge and skills required to provide chronic and complex care is greater than ever before.
