Post-registration courses

The following courses are referred to as "post-registration" because they are available to students who are already registered nurses*. These courses recognise the prior learning experiences of registered nurses and provide graduates with a framework with which they can enhance their professional practice.

*Other criteria may also lead to eligibility. See the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia website.
Local students

Local students must be registered to practise nursing in NSW and hold a qualification at certificate or diploma level.

International students

International students must be registered to practise nursing in a country other than Australia and hold a qualification at certificate or diploma level (or its Australian equivalent). If you are an international student, the Bachelor of Nursing (Post-registration) will not lead to registration as a nurse in NSW. Overseas nurses who wish to become registered in NSW must undertake the Master of Nursing.
