Health Careers and Research Forum 2010 – 12 August 2010
Sydney Nursing School invites all current Sydney Nursing School students to attend the University of Sydney Health Careers and Research Forum 12 August 2010, 4.00–6.30pm.
Sydney Nursing School is joining forces with Sydney Medical School and faculties of Health Sciences and Pharmacy to provide current students with up-to-date careers advice and information. From pre-registration to higher research degrees, this is a great opportunity for current students of Sydney Nursing School to get practical career tips and advice from people working in a wide variety of disciplines in nursing, medicine, public health, health and medical research and more.
This event will attract many health-related organisations seeking to attract high calibre employees, including public and private hospitals, Area Health Services, non-government organisations, aid agencies, research institutes, employment agencies and health consultancies.
Attend mini-lectures to get practical advice about your career opportunities:
4:00pm Resume rescue – presented by the Careers Centre
4.30pm Graduate Entry Master of Pharmacy coursework program
5.00pm Nursing – Transition to Nursing program and beyond
5.30pm Research scholarships
Find out about the broad range of research options available to nursing and medical students, science and health science graduates, including Honours and PhD opportunities. Speak to staff and current research students from major research centres such as the Westmead Millennium Institute for Medical Research, Brain & Mind Research Institute, Heart Research Institute, Institute of Dental Research (IDR), National Centre for Immunisation Research & Surveillance, and many more.
