Huge savings for postgraduate coursework students at Sydney Nursing School
Nurses and midwives considering postgraduate study in 2011 will benefit from huge savings in course costs with Sydney Nursing School allocating additional Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) for local students enrolled in advanced learning postgraduate coursework programs.
According to Professor Jill White,
“this means postgraduate study in specialty nursing areas is suddenly a lot more affordable. Now, most of the cost of local students’ postgraduate coursework will be paid for by the government, with students saving approximately $1300 per unit of study.
“Where previously Sydney Nursing School was able to offer CSP places for graduate certificate students only, we are now able to offer this right across our postgraduate coursework programs, from graduate certificate, graduate diploma and master's.”
Local nurses and midwives thinking of postgraduate study in 2011 will be eligible for a CSP place in Sydney Nursing School’s postgraduate specialty areas of:
- Clinical Nursing
- Cancer and Haematology Nursing
- Emergency Nursing
- Intensive Care Nursing
- Mental Health Nursing
- Nurse Practitioner
For nurses and other health professionals interested in Clinical Trials Practice there are a limited number of CSP places available.
“At Sydney Nursing School we have much to celebrate. With affordable postgraduate study, new and revised programs, increased student numbers and appointments of senior academic and clinical staff we are shaping the future of health care. Join us for our Postgraduate Information Evening on Wednesday 13 October 2010, 68pm, to discover how we will prepare you for leadership in clinical practice and research.”
