Care of the near term infant on postnatal wards Using Special Protocols – The CUSP trial

This study at RPA Women and Babies commenced in August 2006 and aims to determine the special needs of the near term infant managed on the postnatal wards so that evidence based protocols can be developed to further optimise midwifery management. It is anticipated a more structured approach to management using evidence based practice guidelines will reduce admission rates of near term infants to the special care nursery.
