Psychosocial and practical support needs of cancer patients and their families in Western Australia
The primary aim of this collaborative study is to provide baseline data for the development of a state-wide plan for psychosocial and practical support for adult cancer patients. Specifically, this study aims to describe the psychological and practical support needs of Western Australian cancer patients and their families, determine the extent to which these needs are being met, identify gaps in the provision of support services for cancer patients and their families and develop strategies to address psychological and practical support needs that are currently not being met.
