Rural specialist breast nurse project
This collaborative project aimed to provide increased support for rural women diagnosed with breast cancer.
The project involved piloting the establishment of three rural specialist breast nurse (RSBN) positions in rural Western Australia, and evaluating the benefits and impact of this new role for women diagnosed with breast cancer in rural areas. At present the research team is currently finalising data analysis relating to the women’s experience of the RSBN role.
