The accuracy of AN-DRG cost weight in describing the trauma patient LOS and direct costs
Initial investigations into the DRG cost weight allocated to the trauma patient compared to the actual costs incurred to the hospital by the trauma patient suggests that the DRG system inadequately describes the trauma patient episode.
