Transcutaneous measurement of jaundice in the newborn: An evaluation of clinical accuracy in preterm infants
This study will determine a safe range of transcutaneous bilirubinometers (TcB) readings to screen preterm infants for jaundice. The project aims to minimise the number of painful procedures in the premature newborn and develop evidence-based practice guidelines for the effective screening and assessment of hyperbilirubinaemia in preterm infants.
