Associate Professor Josephine Chow

Coming from a career specialty background as a renal nurse, Josephine Chow has been a guest speaker at many national and international conferences on renal care. Josephine was the Australian representative and advisor for a number of national and international renal projects. She was the Project Leader for the 2008 and 2009 Award projects of the Australian Council of Health Standard (ACHS) in Clinical Excellence and Patient Safety category. She was the finalist for the HESTA Australian Nursing Awards in 2009.
As well as a master’s degree in Nephrology Nursing and a PhD from the University of Sydney, Josephine has a Master of Business Administration. She is currently an Area Clinical Manager for the Cardiovascular Stream in Sydney South West Area Health Service in Australia, and has managed a range of clinical services in Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Endocrinology, Renal Medicine and Kidney Transplant across 10 facilities. Josephine is also a Co-Director of the Renal Clinical Research Centre in Liverpool Hospital and very active in both clinical trial and nursing research.
