Biographical details

Michelle Maw is a registered nurse with over 20 years clinical experience. She has worked as a registered nurse in Australia and overseas. Her clinical experience is predominantly in acute/critical care areas. Michelle is also a member of the Australian College of Critical Care Nurses.

michelle is committed to nursing as a discipline and has a passion for nurse education which first surfaced when she worked as a clinical nurse specialist in intensive care in the early 1990s. She believes in a student-centred, evidence-based approach to teaching and learning. She has a solid background in nurse education and has worked as a clinical nurse educator at ward level, a new graduate coordinator, a nurse educator at hospital level and a clinical facilitator for undergraduate nursing students. These roles have provided her with a strong clinical education ethic that is well suited to the tertiary sector especially in the clinical units.
