How to get here

Free bus services

On Open Day buses will run to and from the following locations:

• Railway Square at Central, to and from the Quadrangle (outside Fisher Library): buses will run at 10-minute intervals between 9am and 4.30pm.
• Shepherd Street car park, (near Engineering Precinct) to and from the Quadrangle (corner of Manning and Fisher roads): buses will run at 15-minute intervals between 9am and 4.30pm.

Free shuttle buses to outlying campuses

Sydney Conservatorium of Music
Camperdown Campus (corner of Manning and Fisher roads), to and from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Macquarie Street.
Buses will depart every 30 minutes between 11am and 1.30pm.

Sydney Nursing School
Camperdown Campus (corner of Manning and Fisher roads), to and from Sydney Nursing School, Mallett Street Campus.
Buses will depart between 9.35am and 3.10pm for the tours.

Sydney College of the Arts
Camperdown Campus (corner of Manning and Fisher roads), to and from Rozelle Campus.
Buses will depart every 30 minutes between 10am and3pm.

Walk

We are a 10-minute walk from Redfern station and a 30-minute walk from Central Station.

Cycle

If you live close by, why not cycle in? There are lots of cycle paths around the University and our new bike racks mean you can lock your bike up securely while you are here.

Did you know that the University has more than 800 bike racks across campus to make it easier for students and staff to cycle to uni?

Train

Catch a train to Redfern train station, and then take a 10-minute walk to the campus.

Or you can catch a train to Central Station and either walk or get our free Open Day shuttlebus at Railway Square.

Bus

By bus from the City
For stops on Parramatta Road (closest to the Quadrangle) catch routes 412, 413, 435, 436, 437, 438, 440, 461, 480 and M10 from George Street or Railway Square.

For stops on City Road (closest to Darlington Campus) catch routes 422, 423, 426, 428 from Castlereagh Street or Railway Square.

By bus – cross routes
Route 370 runs between Coogee and Leichhardt. Alight on City Road for the University of Sydney.

Route 352 runs between Bondi Junction and Marrickville. Alight on City Road for the University of Sydney.

Route M30 runs between Mosman, George Street in the city and Sydenham. Alight on City Road for the University of Sydney.

Parking

We highly recommend you take advantage of the free shuttle buses and public transport to get to and from campus. All on-campus parking is free on Open Day and very limited spaces will be available.

Please comply with all relevant parking signs to avoid parking fines.

New Law Building Car Park
Enter by driving city-bound along City Road and turning left into Barff Road.

Shepherd Street Car Park
Located behind the Seymour Centre off Cleveland Street, it will have free parking all day, as well as a free shuttle bus to the Quadrangle.
