Units of study

A new interdisciplinary approach to science education that breaks existing disciplinary boundaries was trialed in 2015.

NUTM3004 Metabolic Cybernetics

This senior unit of study uses interdisciplinary and problem solving-based approaches to one real world proble - obesity and diabetes. The unit of study is the first of its kind in Australia and South East Asia. ‘Big data’ will allow student teams to actively participate in analysis of cutting-edge research.

This senior unit will be offered in BSc, BMedSc, BAppSc and BLibArts & Sc degrees from Semester 2 2016. It will be coordinated by the discipline of Nutrition and Metabolism, School of Molecular Bioscience and the Charles Perkins Centre and taught in the Charles Perkins Centre.
