Bachelor of Pharmacy - Honours and Majors

Opportunities exist for Honours or International Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy Majors.


Honours in the Bachelor of Pharmacy is an integrated research program and is intended to provide students with research training opportunities and reward and recognise outstanding academic achievement. Students in the Honours program will complete a 6 credit point unit of study in semester 1 (Research Methods instead of Pharmacy Management) and 24 credit points in semester 2 to complete their Honours project and thesis.

Honours/International Major option

Faculty staff have identified possible exchange opportunities and are working with our overseas partners to identify coursework and research based exchanges. Students who do coursework at the host institution will be eligible for an International Major, while those who are enrolled in Honours and do a research project will be eligible for Honours.

Industrial Major option

The Faculty will consider industrial options identified by individual students. However, final decisions abut the appropriateness of the industrial host will be made by the Industrial Major coordinator. Students will be eligible for an Industrial Major degree.

Applications for Honours for 2016 have now closed. Applications for 2017 will open in semester 2, 2016.
