The Faculty of Pharmacy Teaching Awards
About the awards
The Faculty of Pharmacy Teaching Awards acknowledge members of staff who demonstrate outstanding performance.
The Awards are aligned with the University awards. Pharmacy staff who receive a Faculty Award are strongly encouraged to also apply for a University award where eligible.

Award Categories
Up to five Awards are granted, in three categories:
- Outstanding Teaching - View criteria
- Support for the Student Experience (Academic Staff - full-time, Academic Staff - casual, General Staff) - View criteria
- Research Higher Degree Supervision - View criteria
Award process
Stage one
Students and staff may submit nominations using the link form. Both individuals and groups can be nominated. Nominations are open until the first Friday in November. You can nominate anyone who has demonstrated outstanding performance at any time during the current teaching year.
Canvassing nominations is not permitted.
Stage two
Nominations are passed to the nominated Faculty members, who then have the opportunity to submit an application for an Award in their nominated category. Nominees who choose to submit an Award application must submit a written statement (maximum one A4 page), together with a response to each of the award criteria (maximum two A4 pages, in minimum 10-point font), accompanied by a separate referee report in support of the application.
The complete application must be submitted to the Faculty General Manager no later than the last working day in February of the following year.
Stage three
Applications are judged by an Awards panel, and recommendations are made to the Dean.
Eligibility
Nominators must be current students or Faculty members.
Award applicants must be current Faculty members. Previous recipients are ineligible to apply in the same Award category for five years.
