The Faculty of Pharmacy Teaching Awards
About the awards
Nominations for the 2011 Awards are now closed.
The Faculty of Pharmacy Teaching Awards acknowledge members of staff who demonstrate outstanding performance.
The Awards are aligned with the University awards. Pharmacy staff who receive a Faculty Award are strongly encouraged to also apply for a University award where eligible.
Awards will be presented at the annual Faculty Awards ceremony. Previous recipients can be viewed below.
Award Categories
Up to five Awards are granted, in three categories:
- Outstanding Teaching - View criteria
- Support for the Student Experience (Academic Staff - full-time, Academic Staff - casual, General Staff) - View criteria
- Research Higher Degree Supervision - View criteria
Award process
Stage one
Using the form link below, students and staff may submit a nomination. Both individuals and groups can be nominated. Nominations are open until 2 November 2011. You can nominate anyone who has demonstrated outstanding performance at any time during the 2011 teaching year.
Canvassing nominations is not permitted.
Stage two
Nominations are passed to the nominated Faculty members, who then have the opportunity to submit an application for an Award in their nominated category. Nominees who choose to submit an Award application must submit a written statement (maximum one A4 page), together with a response to each of the award criteria (maximum two A4 pages, in minimum 10-point font), accompanied by a separate referee report in support of the application.
The complete application must be submitted to the Faculty Executive Officer no later than 28 February 2012.
Stage three
Applications are judged by an Awards panel, and recommendations are made to the Dean.
Eligibility
Nominators must be current students or Faculty members.
Award applicants must be current Faculty members. Previous recipients are ineligible to apply in the same Award category for five years.
